These concerts will feature masterworks of the symphonic repertoire and renowned guest artists. Highlights include Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 1, Mozart Requiem and Symphony No. 41, Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 3, Stravinsky Firebird, Tchaikovsky Francesca da Rimini, Vaughan Williams Lark Ascending, and Wagner Prelude and Liebestod. Guest artists include soprano Mary Wilson, tenor Alan Bennett, baritone Christòpheren Nomura, pianist Conor Hanick, clarinetist Michael Wayne, mezzo-soprano Elisabeth Bieber, violinist Augustin Hadelich, and the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale. Concerts will be performed at West High School and the Englert Theatre in Iowa City at 2 p.m. on Sundays: January 24, February 14, March 21, April 18 and May 16.

Founded in April 1921, Orchestra Iowa is one of the oldest symphony orchestras in continuous operation west of the Mississippi River. Its 82 professional musicians perform more than 120 public performances throughout Eastern Iowa each year, many of which can be heard on Iowa Public Radio and seen on Iowa Public Television.
