Orchestra Iowa Chamber Players present "Czech Mates'
Cedar Rapids, IA. – Orchestra Iowa Chamber Players present “Czech Mates”, Saturday, February 27 at 7 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1285 Third Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids.
The Chamber Music Series continues with its second performance of the season featuring Classical music written by Czech composers Leoš Janáček and Antoní Dvořák. Orchestra Iowa Chamber Players performing include violinists Eric Kline and Miera Kim, violist Lisa Ponton, cellist Carey Bostian, oboists David Hempel and Barbara Reck, clarinetists Christine Michelle Bellomy and Lisa Marner, bassoonists Benjamin Coelho and Greg Morton, hornists Andy Harris, Peter Kortenkamp and Dan Malloy, and bassist Volkan Orhon.

Founded in April 1921, Orchestra Iowa is one of the oldest symphony orchestras in continuous operation west of the Mississippi River. Its 82 professional musicians perform more than 120 public performances throughout Eastern Iowa each year, many of which can be heard on Iowa Public Radio and seen on Iowa Public Television.
